Atera is Germany’s premier manufacturer of car rack systems; most of their business is in making ‘own branded’ roof bars and bike carriers for German car manufacturers.

AutoSock, based in Oslo, created and developed the whole vehicle snow sock concept, using dry friction science to develop speciality materials that maximise grip on snow and ice. Vehicles which carry AutoSock should never get stuck! They’re designed for short term use – the wear rate will depend on how sensibly they are used, and on what type of road surface.

B&W is a premier German case maker, specialising in tool cases, waterproof cases, and bike transport bags and cases. All their products are designed to provide excellent value for money, with protection that is as good as any, and pricing that is better than most.

BUZZ RACK is based in Taiwan and specialises in manufacturing EU designed tow bar bike carriers. The design, features and build quality are outstanding for the money. Carbox is a Bremen based manufacturer of car boot liners. They invented the whole boot liner concept back in the 1960s, and remain very much at the forefront of innovation and all round quality, supplying boot liners to most of the car manufacturers.

CRUZ is the best of the European mid-market car rack brands, exceptional value for money. They’re a family owned business which takes pride in doing everything really well, also having the fun of having an R & D department and being able to innovate. They’re based in Andalucia, Spain.

FASTY is another great Swedish brand, based at Anderstorp next to the old Formula 1 circuit. They specialise in straps for the domestic and light industrial markets

Hapro is the world’s second largest manufacturer of roof boxes, making boxes for many other brands as well as their own branded range. They’re part of the VDL Group, one of Holland’s largest private companies with over 100 subsidiaries and 17,000 employees in 20 countries.

Spikes-Spider is a Swiss snow chain brand. They developed the ‘front of wheel’ fixing concept, creating a unique range of chains that are held on a special wheel hub mounting plate, so in effect the chains are free floating around the wheel, which prevents them from clogging up with ice and packed snow. “30 seconds on, 30 seconds off” is their boast, and it can be done, and without getting filthy in the process, whether on snow or on wet grass / mud.
